ICS is at the forefront of particle surface chemistry upon which successful flotation depends. This has been achieved by over 15 years of research and development in molecular and surface chemistry, along with feedback from our clients. The strength of our chemistry and process know-how lies in the fact that we can customize solutions to fit each individual deposit. And since the ore varies in composition, we must vary the process and adapt it to each individual case. Therefore, in addition to our standard flotation reagents, we develop tailor-made products in close cooperation with our clients. Our focus is not only to provide highly efficient flotation but also pay attention to supplementary processes f.e easy to use, meet user and environmental regulations.
Flotation Collectors
Phosphate
Phosphate beneficiation starts by mining, screening, washing and at last flotation. Naturally phosphate is mixed with unwanted gangue. ICS anionic and cationic flotation collectors, high selectively, separate the desired phosphate from the gangue according to client recovery to grade ratio. ICS collectors are formulated per project depending on the type and quantity of impurities found in the phosphate deposit in order to achieve optimal beneficiation results.
Iron
Iron ore reverse flotation is used to upgrade the concentrate and remove silicates. The practice of silica reverse flotation by amine derivatives has increased dramatically as more complex ores have to be mined and higher-grade iron ore concentrates with fewer impurities are requested by the steel industry. ICS amine based collectors are used for both for magnetite and hematite systems.
Potash
Potash is a vital fertilizer for the world food supply. During potash flotation reagents are added to a mixture of potash, salt and brine. The flotation reagents attach specifically to the potash and rise together to the surface for collection by introduced air bubbles. The correct selection of flotation reagents is crucial to separate unwanted material and achieve optimal recovery and grade. After flotation, potash and brine are transferred to centrifuges for separation, drying and screening. ICS technical specialists help our clients design their flowsheet and run laboratory trials.
